Starting an Information Communication Technology Company!

If you decided to get in shape, there’s not a lot of mystery about WHAT you need to do. Exercise, eat right, drink water, get plenty of sleep, etc. There’s no magic or gimmicky thing you can do.

You simply have to put in the work.

And, THAT is the hard part.

Starting an ICT Company is exactly the same. The WHAT to do is pretty straight-forward. Decide on some services to offer, build a sales page or company profile to sell those services, get people to see your sales page or profile.

Not a lot of mystery to it.

The hard part is doing it.

One analogy is building a house. And, I mean building it the Western way. I can get one family member and I to do all the work, and only hired one contractor to do the siding. And, if you’ve never done it, building a house might seem complicated.

It’s really not.

A foundation, walls, electricity, plumbing, etc. You could sit down for five minutes and probably identify all the things you’d need in order to build it. It’s really just a list of tasks that need accomplished.

Once you have the list, it just comes down to doing it.

And, again, THAT is the hard part.

That’s the part that can take up to 18 months to complete.

So, that’s the answer. I see way too many people sitting around “thinking” about starting a company. Or “planning”. That accomplishes very little. The thing to DO is to start building. Just like a house, building an ICT business takes time.

There are just certain hoops you have to jump through.

And, they’re not instant.

Like, building up a portfolio or developing a reputation in your industry.

You can’t just snap your fingers and make those things happen. That’s why it’s so important you get started NOW instead of waiting around “thinking” and “planning”. You’re wasting valuable time.

Another analogy…

Imagine pushing a car up a small hill. It is an old, what seemed like 80-feet long Thunderbird… and, it is heavy.

Those first few steps are the worst.

It may take everything you have just to get it started.

But, once it starts rolling, it gets easier and easier. You get some momentum and the weight of the car actually helps. That is business. The first steps are the hardest, scariest and most confusing.

There’s no way around that.

You just have to gut them out.

Eventually, you’ll get some momentum and some clarity and things will start getting easier and easier. And, before you know it, you’ll be sprinting toward your goals. So, what I’m saying to you is to get moving.

Doesn’t really matter what you do first.

Do something.

Action creates clarity… not endlessly over-thinking it.
